Getting Student Feedback

上周的recitation中,邀请Kelly来做了一次面向学生的反馈调查,以评估我这学期以来讲课的效果。当然,反馈调查期间我离开了教室的(因此也少讲了20分钟课,哈哈)。今天,从Kelly那里拿到了反馈包括。

Kelly开门见山地说,"Congratulations! All the students are talking and they're very straight, you got lots of positive feedbacks." 以下是对本人正面的评价:

  • Knowledgeable
    • "He knows the material"
    • "He isn't stumped by questions"
    • "Knowledgeable"
    • "Very familiar with material"
  • Very Effective One-on-One
    • "Good with office hours; explains things well outside of discussions"
  • Conscientious and Concerned about Class's Understanding
    • "He cares about students"
    • "Makes sure things are clear"
    • "He asks if everyone understands"

Kelly说,以上引号中的文字都是学生的原话,她收集上来后写到黑板上,全体同学都予以认可。翻译过来的大意就是:

  • 知识丰富
    • "他了解课程内容"
    • "他不害怕问题"
    • "知识丰富"
    • "非常熟悉材料"
  • 一对一很有效
    • "答疑时间做的很好; 在课堂之外也能很清楚地解释问题"
  • 对课程尽责和关心
    • "他在乎学生"
    • "确认所讲的东西是清楚的"
    • "他会询问是否每个人都明白了所讲的内容"
呼,看到这些正面的评价,真是一种巨大的鼓励啊。曾经最不擅长的就是在众人面前讲话,想不到在不到一学期的时间里,竟能得到挑剔的美国学生如此多的正面评价,尤其还是在用非母语讲课的情况下(刚开始我还担心语言的问题,不过Kelly说,学生压根就没有提及这个方面,看来是过关的),不佩服自己都不行了!
